Sign Language Curriculum for Tourism and Tour Guides at B1 Level

Needs analysis, target groups, innovation elements, transferability issues are the same as O2 idea output. However, the general structure of B1 level gains will be different from A1&A2 acquisition tables in terms of both ways of development and skill levels desired.
B1 acquisition tables will be developed with an interdisciplinary (thematic) pattern approach. It is aimed that the gains created with this point of view are able to transfer the skills acquired by the tourist guides during the teaching of sign language to different areas, thus adapting them to different environments and conditions both in their daily and professional lives. The aim is to make the sign language skills of tourist guides more functional. With the interdisciplinary thematic approach, tourist guides will be able to continue using sign language in different environments in which they work, and adapt their sign language skills to these different environments.
The effects of our B1 level curriculum on the target audience will be;
a) recognize the general principles, components and features of sign language,
b) will be able to use the Finger Alphabet,
c) Understand and / or explain to the people in the tour group about the following themes, which are described using sign language,
• Travel and Accommodation Theme
