The Teaching Materials for the Tourism Focused Vocational Sign Language Learning Program at A1&A2 Level

Audiovisual environments are of great importance for the permanence of learning. The more sensory organs are activated during teaching, the more effective learning is. Educational technologies shorten the duration of education, keep the interest alive, embody abstract concepts, provide realistic experiences and create more willingness to learn [Z.N.Kaya, 2002]. When it comes to educational technology, computers and online education materials take the first place. In the online teaching method, students are offered the opportunity to learn according to their abilities and speeds with individualized educational materials. Thus, students can learn according to their individual learning speed in specially organized online learning environments [E.Çiftçi, 2009].

Tourist guides who have completed the curriculum will be able to respond to customers' questions, requests and complaints, express opinions on a subject, provide information, and make a presentation about a service or historical work. Direct Instruction Method will be used while preparing teaching materials.
