2.1. Culture Tourism
Thought that approximately 40% of tourism movements on a global scale occur for cultural reasons. Tourisms Cultural heritage, event, faith tourism and dark come to the fore among the types of culture-based tourism. Tourists usually visit archaeological sites, museums and historical buildings on cultural tours and participate in cultural activities and art events. When they join cultural tours, people need a professional tour guide. Dark tourism, under the categories of cultural heritage tourism, includes visits to former battlefields, concentration camps, cemeteries, prisons and regions that have experienced natural or man-made disasters. This unit contains terms on architecture, archeology, museum and art gallery, folklore and dark tourism, tourist guides will need the information for cultural tours that they will lead. |
