Some compounds are sequential, so that one morpheme follows another. The form of the signs in a compound changes. They are shortened so that the compounds takes no longer to sign than a non-compounded sign. Example Look + Back = Review |

5.6. Deaf Culture/Hearing impaired individuals with multiple handicaps
Individuals classified as having multiple disabilities usually have more than one significant disability. Example a person who is deaf and has a visual impairment are classed as deaf/blind. Tactile signing is a method of communicating using touch that's used by some children who have both a hearing loss and sight impairment. |
