​The third Multiplier Event / Izmir
The third of three conferences planned within the scope of the project was organized by the IZRO in Turkey. Managers of non-governmental organizations serving the deaf community, academics from various universities, tourism sector representatives, sign language experts and managers of supporting public organizations attended the event.
M4 / ​Doncaster Meeting
The final meeting was held on 20th - 21st April 2023 in Doncaster, UK with the participation of all project partners. We have completed an unforgettable trip and meeting together. First of all, we would like to thank the entire UK team, and Liz Deakin, Mike Breslin, Natalie Pollard, Bobbie Roberts and Alexis Johnson, who organised this wonderful event. ​
M3 / Izmir Meeting
We've completed 3rd international meeting of the Vocational Sign Language on Tourism Project in Izmir. We were honored to host our partners from Germany, United Kingdom and Portugal in our country. We talked about what we have completed in our project and how we can improve it. Also we brainstormed about new projects. We sincerely thank all our participants, we look forward to our next meeting.
​The second Multiplier Event / Izmir
We held the second Multiplier Event of our Vocational Sign Language on Tourism Project at the IzQ Innovation Center in Izmir. Gamze Kaya, Project Coordinator of the VSL on Tourism, gave a speech about the project the content, activities and other technical information. Gökhan Kaya, Chairman of the Mavi Pencere Special Education Association, made a presentation about the distance education curriculum, materialsand the activities on our website. And Dr. Paulo vaz de Carvalho gave an mind-opening conference on bilingual education of the deaf, we were very honored to host him.
LTT ACTIVITIY - Lisboa / PORTUGAL
​We successfully and happily completed our LTT (Learning Teaching Training) Activity hosted by our Portuguese partner, Navegadores Consultores Associados (NCA). The value of our project has increased even more with the efficient activities and sharing of experiences we have realized with the cooperation of all our partners. We have taken another level in the production of educational materials that will meet the needs of the entire deaf community and tourist guides. We are proud of all our partners and our project. We sincerely thank everyone who contributed.
ESSEN MEETING (M2)
The first evaluation meeting was held on 5th-7th April 2022 in Essen, Germany with the participation of all project partners.
The first Multiplier Event of the Vocational Sign Language in Tourism Project was held on 10 December 2021 at the Mövenpick Hotel İzmir. ​​
The first of three conferences planned within the scope of the project was organized by the Mavi Pencere Special Education Association in Turkey. Managers of non-governmental organizations serving the deaf community, academics from various universities, tourism sector representatives, sign language experts and managers of supporting public organizations attended the event.
​A1 - A2 level curriculum of our "Vocational Sign Language in Tourism" Project and the registration of distance education materials for this curriculum have been completed.

Kick of Meeting (M1)

​The first meeting is the General Preparation Meeting (M1) held on 12.02.2021 via ZOOM. All partners of the project partner were represented at the meeting. The total number of participants is 19.

  • We decided on and approve of the objectives, activities and responsibilities of the project.
  • We decided on the administrative and reporting processes.
  • A briefed on the project budget, budget management and expenditures documents and how they will be kept.
  • We decided on the work to do in the preliminary phase
  • We decided on the evaluation work
  • We decided on the work to do during the dissemination phase
  • We decided on the work to do during the sustainability phase.
  • We decided on and set the quality standards for the intellectual outcomes
  • We will sign the interior partnership agreements
  • We defined the communication strategies and objectives and form a mailing list
  • We decided on the foreseeable risks and define the precautions that can be taken against them.
​The first meeting of our project was held in IZRO. At this meeting; the work to be done in the preparation, evaluation and dissemination process is concluded. Project work plan finalized. Cultural and pedagogical preparatory activities were identified. Mail group was created. Communication strategy and targets have been set. Measures to be taken against the foreseen risks have been clarified.
